Big Move Projects

Gentle Transitions has worked on numerous retirement community relocation projects including the following:

Atria Senior Living –  8 locations in California

Atria has built memory care sections in eight different communities and has engaged Gentle Transitions to conduct over 150 in-house moves at these communities including Sunnyvale, Burlingame, Tamalpais, Los Posas, Golden Creek, San Juan Capistrano, Del Ray, and Thousand Oaks.

Walnut Manor/Village – Anaheim, CA

This community completely closed its doors in order to rebuild from scratch with a new state of the art retirement community.  Walnut Manor hired Gentle Transitions to relocate their remaining 30 residents to nearby retirement communities.

Paragon Gardens –  Mission Viejo, CA

Gentle Transitions relocated 17 assisted living residents from one wing to another in just two days.

Marguerite Terrace – San Jose, CA

This life-care community closed and hired Gentle Transitions to move it’s 25 remaining residents to different communities in the San Jose area.  It was a particularly stressful situation as the residents had planned to live at the community for the rest of their lives.

Guadalupe Manor – Fountain Valley, CA

A fire occurred at this community and ten apartments experienced water damage.  Gentle Transitions was hired to pack items from those apartments and arrange for storage on very short notice and then move things back into those apartments after repairs were completed.

Royal Oaks Manor – Bradbury, CA

This community tore down a number of cottages and apartments to make way for a large building project and displaced a number of residents in the process.  Gentle Transitions was hired to move those residents to temporary locations and then to their new locations several months later.  Total moves in the project exceeded 50.
